Terms & Conditions for Touring and Tenting Pitches

Introduction

Trusthorpe Springs and Lakeside Springs are family orientated parks catering for owner occupied holiday caravans/letting caravans/ touring caravans/trailer tents/tents/motor caravans. Our guests’ enjoyment and safety is paramount and therefore we ask you to read the following Terms and Conditions before making your booking.


We reserve the right to ask guests who contravene these terms and conditions or, who in any other way are behaving in a manner likely to cause distress or nuisance to other visitors, to leave the park immediately. In these circumstances the holiday ceases and we shall not be liable for any extra costs incurred by you.

Access Statement

We seek to provide the very best service to all our guests and have a specially prepared access statement available on our website at www.springsholidayestates.co.uk which describes the facilities we have to offer on the park.

Contract

The contract is for a short-term holiday rental of a touring or tenting pitch specified on the booking form made between the client and the owners of Springs Holiday Estates (“the owners”), binding from such time that booking is made and inclusive of all the following conditions.

By making a booking the client contracts on behalf of himself/herself and all those in his/her party and represents that he/she has the authority to accept these conditions on behalf of and binding upon all guests in his/her party.

Bookings are accepted on the understanding that the pitch is taken for holiday purposes only and that, including babies, the number of people on each pitch is limited to that entered on the booking form.

The client and any friends or family of the client visiting the Park while the client is staying there must adhere to the conditions of the contract, including the Park Rules.


The terms contained in this contract do not affect your statutory rights.

No person who has been convicted of a criminal sexual offence or is on the Sexual Offenders Register may stay at the Park or be a visitor.

Booking conditions

We cater for families and couples and do not accept bookings from all male or all female parties of three or more persons. We also reserve the right to refuse any booking.

Bookings can be made in the following ways:

Payment can be made using a credit/debit card, in cash (please do not send cash in the post) by cheque or postal order (please make cheque payable to Springs Estates (Lincs) Ltd). No booking will be accepted until payment has been confirmed.

The person who makes the booking is responsible for the booking and warrants that they are over 18 years of age and that the party will not exceed the numbers stated at booking.

The information supplied for the booking will be stored on computer for administrative purposes. Under no circumstances will this information be provided to a third party.

The Price of the Holiday

Prices displayed on the internet or other 3rd party advertising media may not be current. The total price of the holiday will be calculated using our latest tariff schedule held by Reception at Trusthorpe Springs at the time of booking.

Once you have made your booking, the price of the holiday will not be subject to any change unless the rate of VAT increases.

The price of the holiday is for a pitch only it includes the reasonable/fair use of electricity (except Trusthorpe Springs tenting where electric at the pitch is not available) at the pitch (but does not include the charging of electric vehicles via the hook up or touring van) and use of the Central Ablution Block. It does not include a contribution to any other facilities or services the company may offer at the park or sister parks as these may be subject to local restrictions.


The balance of the price of your holiday must be paid 14 days prior to your arrival but must be paid in full at booking if arrival is less than 14 days from the booking date. If the balance is not paid in time then we are entitled to cancel the holiday and retain any payments made towards the holiday booking.

Deposits

A 15% deposit based on the holiday cost is required when booking on line or direct to us.

Cancellation of the Holiday by you

You may cancel your holiday at any time. Cancellation will be effective on the date it is received by us. However cancellation charges are payable as follows based on the date of your arrival:

15 days or more Deposit Only – less any charges from the on line payment company
14 days and under No Refund of Payment

If you cancel your holiday with us, you may be offered the option to move your booking to another available date within the same season. You will be required to pay any additional fees for different periods of the season which may be applicable.

Non-payment of the balance of the cost of the booking on or after the due date may be construed as a cancellation of the contract by the client.

Any cancellation made by the client for whatever reason shall be in writing and sent to the address on the website.

The client is strongly advised to take out holiday cancellation insurance.

Change or cancellation of the Holiday by us

If we are unable to provide the booked holiday and have had to cancel before the holiday is due to start, you are entitled to a full refund of the money you have paid.

It is regretted that no refunds can be given if guests depart prior to the end of the booked holiday, unless they do so as the result of the breach of some obligation on our part which would justify cancelling the holiday.

Holiday Behaviour Standards

By making a booking with us you have entered a contract in which you undertake, on behalf of yourself and the people in your party (including children), to adopt the following minimum standards of behaviour:

To act in a courteous and considerate manner towards us, our staff and other guests.

To supervise children properly so that they are not a nuisance or danger to themselves or others.

You further agree that you will not:

  • commit any criminal offence at the Park or undertake any criminal activity
– commit any acts of vandalism or nuisance
  • keep or carry any firearm or any other weapon at the Park
  • use any unlawful drugs
  • create any undue noise or disturbance
  • carry on any trade or business while on the Park
  • charge any electric vehicle through the caravan or hook up
  • bring or use electric scooters, which are banned at the parks

Quiet hours are from 12.00pm until 8.00am. Please respect your fellow guests and keep noise to an absolute minimum.

A full copy of the Park Rules is available to view, on request, at Reception at Trusthorpe Springs.

Health and Safety

We take the wellbeing and safety of our guests very seriously and we ask that you comply with the following:

  • The speed limit on the park is 10 mph
  • All vehicles must conform to the Road Traffic Act and have current tax, MOT and insurance. The provisions of the Highway Code apply to the roads on the park
  • Guests are not allowed to bring lorries or other commercial vehicles on to the park. This includes towing vehicles
  • No recreational vehicles can be used on the park. This includes motorised scooters
  • No mechanical or repair work is to be undertaken on the park
  • Only 1 vehicle can be parked next to the pitch. All other vehicles including trailers and boats must be parked in the main parking area
  • The rules for the swimming pool are displayed at the entrance to the pool. Children under 14 must be supervised by an adult and anyone failing to adhere to the rules will be excluded from the area for the remainder of their stay
  • In the unlikely event of a natural disaster or emergency requiring implementation of the park’s Emergency Action Plan you will be notified by voice
  • Please make yourself aware of the nearest fire point

Our full Health and Safety Policy is available for inspection by appointment at our Main Office.

Dogs and other pets

A maximum of 2 dogs are permitted per pitch.

If you bring your dog with you when you stay with us we ask that you:

  • Keep the dog on a short lead on the park at all times
  • Use the designated exercise area
  • Clean up after your dog
  • Do not leave your dog unattended at any time

We reserve the right to require that the owner removes their dog, or any other pet, from the park if it is a nuisance or danger to other guests.

General

Access to the centralised touring ablution facility at Trusthorpe and Lakeside Springs is provided by using an electronic key fob. This fob is collected from Reception or the park office upon arrival and a £10 refundable cash deposit is required.

Open fires and ground level barbeques are not permitted.

Only aertex type ground sheets are permitted on grassed areas.

The use of generators is not permitted.

Cutting or damaging trees and other vegetation is strictly prohibited and the natural conditions are not to be disturbed. This includes tying ropes to, or driving nails into, trees.

Pitches



The size of your caravan/tent must be stipulated at the time of booking to ensure that the allocated pitch is large enough. Should you subsequently alter your requirements we cannot guarantee to provide an appropriately sized pitch.



The client should arrange an estimated time with Trusthorpe Reception or the Main Office and inform them of any changes to that time to ensure somebody is available to show the client to the correct pitch. Please advise us if you are likely to arrive later than 17.00hrs.



You are requested not to arrive before 13.00hrs and latest arrival time is 17.00hrs, unless by prior arrangement. All pitches must be vacated by 11.00hrs on the day of your departure otherwise an additional night’s pitch fee will be charged.



Every endeavour will be made to allocate guests the pitch of their choice, however, it must be clearly understood that acceptance of a booking is not conditional on the allocation of a particular pitch.



Your pitch number and directions to it will be confirmed on arrival. If you are in any doubt whether you are on the right pitch please check with a member of staff. Any guest on the wrong pitch will be required to move.

Awnings are charged at a set price regardless of size with a maximum length of 3.5m from the touring van. Awnings must be connected to the touring van and to a motorhome or campervan when the on vehicle is on the pitch. No independent structures (bell tents, tents, storage tents etc) are permitted on the pitch.

No more than 2 people may sleep in an awning.

Please note that should you wish to extend your stay beyond the booked dates there is no guarantee that the same pitch will be available.

Liability

The owners of Springs Holiday Estates are not liable for any loss or damage to any client’s property or any property belonging to a member of the client’s party howsoever caused.

Complaints



If you have a complaint about anything during your holiday please raise it with a member of our reception staff immediately and if you wish to pursue it following your departure please write to us within 28 days of your departure. However we do suggest that you try and complete a report about the complaint while you are on holiday which may give us an opportunity to resolve any concerns.
