This Access Statement does not contain personal opinions as too our suitability for those with access needs, but aims to accurately describe the facilities and services that we offer all our guests/visitors.
Introduction
Situated in the grounds of a Georgian Grade II listed building, Trusthorpe Hall, and very close to the beautiful coast of Lincolnshire Trusthorpe Springs Leisure park is ideal for a short break or holiday.
Located approximately 1 mile from the beach we cater for touring caravans and have static caravan holiday homes for hire. The site also has static caravan homes that may be purchased and sited permanently.
There is also a convenient on-site shop and bar – with entertainment booked for most weekends during the season, together with our heated outdoor swimming pool help to make your stay as relaxing as possible.

The nearest railway station, but with a very limited service, is Skegness some 8 miles away. An accessible taxi can be booked in advance, see contact sheet for details.
The No 9 bus runs from Skegness to Mablethorpe approximately every hour, unfortunately there is no direct bus route to the site with the nearest sheltered bus stop being ½ mile from the site entrance.
The main road outside the site is a typical country B class road and does not have a footpath or lighting.
Car parking and Arrival
The park Reception also serves as the park shop and has a tarmac car park for up to 7 cars immediately outside its entrance.
Once registered at reception guests can access the park via a barrier operated using an electronic fob which will be issued by reception staff.

There is a concrete ramp into the Reception/Shop
There are 2 open able doors each being 600mm wide
The floor surface is plastic tiles with the area being even and well light from overhead
We can show you to your pitch on request
The shop has a basic range of household goods and newspapers can be ordered
The shop is level throughout
Staff can offer assistance if required.
Touring Facilities
We have 9 pitches for touring caravans which are all on level grass.
Assistance with pitching is possible, subject to staff availability
Parking on the grass next to your caravan is permitted
There are water points, chemical toilet disposal points, dust bin areas, recycling points and fire points on the park which are generally no further than 100m away from any pitch
Pitches are allocated on booking and staff are happy to advise which pitches are suitable for your requirements
Toilet and Washing Facilities
There is a newly constructed modern centralised ablution facility for use by our touring site customers which houses male, female and fully compliant disabled facilities. There is level access into these facilities and each area has controlled access via an electronic fob available from Reception at the time of arrival.
There is a fully compliant disabled wet room in the same block, described below:
Entrance door is 900mm wide and has level entry
The toilet height is 470mm with full railing to side walls
A shower at 1200mm height with grab rail and fold down seat
A wash hand basin at 700mm height with mirror
The floor is linoleum
All spaces are well lit with fluorescent overhead lighting
Public toilets all have level entry and are located in the Cartwheel Club
Caravan Holiday Homes
We have a 2 bedroom flat (self catering) available for hire on site. The flat is located beside the Cartwheel Club and its design is of an “upside down” nature where the sleeping accommodation is on the ground floor, stairs allow access to the other parts of the accommodation.
We have 7 caravan holiday homes for hire (self catering), these have level grass parking areas beside each pitch and are within 100m of all central facilities.
Food and Drink Facilities
The entrance has a small ramp and the door to the complex is 850mm wide. Doors to the bar area are 760mm wide
The restaurant and bar are all situated on one level, but access to some seating areas is via 2 steps whilst other seating areas have level access to them
Service is usually at the bar but drinks and bar snacks can be served at the table on request
Lighting in all areas is natural light and by night enhanced by the use of overhead fluorescent tubes. Stage lighting is present which may be flashing; dependent upon the artist performing.
Launderette
There is level access into the launderette which is located in the centralised facility
There is one front loading washing machine and one top loading tumble dryer (height 115cm)
There is a ‘pot wash only’ sink and drainer at 940mm height
The floor is linoleum and the area is well lit with fluorescent overhead tubes.
Leisure Facilities
Leisure facilities comprising of a pool room, amusement arcade are all located on the ground floor, these can be reached via the entrance to the Cartwheel Club
The arcade is accessed directly off the entrance corridor and the pool room through a 900mm wide door or from the bar through a set of double doors both 600mm wide
There is an external heated swimming pool that can be accessed via a step free ramped access point
The pool is accessed via steps at each end of the pool. There are rails on each side of the steps to assist entry. We currently do not have a hoist for use in the pool
As the touring pitches are located so close to the swimming pool separate changing facilities are not provided, however, the fob controlled ablution block may be used if required.
All leisure facilities are open 7 days a week as follows:
Outdoor heated Swimming Pool and paddling pool – 10am ‘til 6pm (end of May to mid September only weather permitting)
Cartwheel Club – 12am – 11pm (check published timings as these may vary dependant on demand and functions)

Clubs and Entertainment – Cartwheel Bar
We routinely provide live entertainment in our stage area directly joining the bar. A programme of events is published on our web site at www.springsholidayestates.co.uk.
Access is step free from the bar
There is flashing and strobe lighting
The flooring is short pile carpet and the dance floor is wood
Chairs and seating can be arranged to suit
The public toilets, consisting of separate Ladies, Gentlemen, Easy Access and Baby Changing are located either side of the main stage and have a level entry
The Easy Access toilet has fixed and adjustable horizontal and vertical bars each side of the WC and wash hand basin
A pull cord alarm is situated beside the WC
There is a 700mm transfer space to the left of the WC
Grounds and Garden
The park is large and spacious with an additional area of open field at the rear of the park for ball games or to exercise dogs – this area is accessed via a grassed footpath.
There is a children’s play area
The surface of the play area is wood bark
There are a number of benches and seating located around the park
A water bowl is available just outside the reception
All facilities are clearly signposted using Arial font large black letters on a white background and pictograms
Free Wi-Fi internet access is available across the park; please ask at reception for the log on details
